Bothell Natural Health was started by Dr. Helen Palmer over 30 years ago. It was previously called Bothell Naturopathic Clinic. Dr. Palmer provided individualized treatments to her patients in her Bothell location for much of her years in practice.
After faithfully serving her patients for so many years, we were all shocked by the passing of Dr. Palmer in November 2006.
Dr. Palmer’s husband, Rick Waling, DC, selected Dr. Bowen to continue the traditions and care that were common in Dr. Palmer’s practice. Dr. Bowen transitioned into seeing Dr. Palmer’s patients (and new patients as well) beginning in January of 2007. Since taking over the legacy of Dr. Palmer, Dr. Bowen has continued to provide excellent care to her patients.
In the past decade, Dr. Bowen has grown to specialize in digestive, autoimmune and complex cases. She is a Board Fellow in Naturopathic Gastroenterology (FABNG) and is also Mold-Literate Certified. Dr. Bowen, ND, FABNG, is now able to provide telemedicine for patients inside of Washington state and educational consultations for clients outside of Washington state through her 100% virtual practice model.
Dr. Bowen goes beyond symptoms to get to the root cause of your illness. She’s ready to be your own personal health detective!
I am happy to be here! After a successful career in IT as a business systems analyst, I have dedicated the past 18 years to collaborating with local non-profit organizations. My focus has been on developing processes that enhance operational efficiency, allowing volunteers to concentrate on their vital contributions.
I am deeply passionate about partnering with organizations that serve the public and reflect my personal values.
Outside of Bothell Natural Health , I actively engage in community service by leading two Girl Scout troops and participating on the leadership team of GS Service Unit 222. Additionally, I hold the position of Director for Trail and Sail Day Camp through Girl Scouts of Western Washington. In my free time, I am an avid reader and I enjoy crafting and coffee!
